Peaking wonderfully now...smoky cedar nose and burst on the palette...dark fruit underneath, some pomegranate essence as well. Some green olive as it opens in the carafe. L&L flies under the Cali radar and for no reason except that the AVA is not as well known on the Int'l radar. Great for us true believers.

Nicely matured for a 7 year old bottle. I'm a fan of L&L cabs....this one is mostly cab with a light blending of Merlot, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec and done in a lighter Cali style. The main attribute of the blend varietals seems to be Cab Franc, so you get that nice leather note and then the Merlot for smoothness, but leaving more of the core Cab character to shine thru. Well done

Nicely balanced and still with plenty of nice tannin as expected. Went well with prime rib. Hints of green and herbs while the fruit was a good foil for it. Drink soon if you like that profile, hold if you want to let the tannins mellow out more.
