Although I slightly prefer the salacious '08, the '09 is also a vixen. Juicy to the core; ripe raspberry, brewed green tea, plum and terra cotta; the approachability is quite evident. The tannins have velvet and charm, not to mention a medium finish that compliments the full middle palate. (Doug told me that he recently had an '98 - which I believe is his first vintage - and it was excellent. I would watch this as well. Drink now - 2023.
