Nose with leather, cedar, and herbal notes. On the palate smoked ham, truffle, dark chocolate. 2 hours after opening the tannins becomes silky soft. Medium complexity. Long finish. Enjoyable and for my palate mature at this point. Surely developed since last tasting (3 years ago), when looking at my previous notes. 91-92+

Clear rubin colur, iron and iodine in the nose together with some suppressed herbal notes. On the palate starts with smoked ham and then comes cedar and leather. Tight acid bite in the finish that goes into notes of hazelnuts. Nice composition. Defiantly a wine for food. Despite the complexity I have a feeling that “something is missing”. Good and solid, Barolo, but not in the very top. 90-92P

Tasting at Enoteca Regionale del Barolo (Enoteca Regionale del Barolo in Barolo): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of toasted oak, honey ham, earthy loam, strawberry, redcurrant, rose bush. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, smooth medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Pronounced flavor intensity, with flavours of honey ham, loamy earth, strawberry, redcurrant. Long finish. Very good quality Barolo. Will continue to improve over the next 5+ years. From the Cannubi cru in commune of Barolo.

Garnet in colour, perfumed nose, medium body with persistent and chalky tannins. New french oak used.
