Far better than my previous bottle, and far surpasses the vintage as well. Taut, minerally, and very lemon-forward, but carrying the weight and density expected of a Corton-Charlemagne. I love the way the acid cuts through the richness too. Very impressive.

Lunch at Jade Court (Chicago, IL): Shows a good amount of oak on the nose and palate (more so with air). Good richness and weight, but lacking the complexity of the best examples of the vineyard; perhaps done in a little by the weak vintage. This feels a little loose, missing some of the shaping and sculpting that I would have liked to see. No signs or worries about premox though despite the pronounced ripe apple notes here; this is as fresh as I would expect from a wine of this age.

Starts out very rich with ripe yellow apple with some baked apple notes. More restrained in the middle with lemon flavors, mineral textures and good energy. Even better now vs when last tasted in 2017.
