  Ripe cherry, cedar chest, sweet spices, earth. Good acidity with resolved tannins. Smooth, medium finish. Nice, mature Sangiovese that drank better I expected. Drink up.

  Very nice mature Sangiovese. Think this will be very good for several years, but no reason to wait.
  
  Well perfumed nose - some fruit, very earthy - mushroom, tomato.
  
  On the palate: Red fruit - cherry, raspberry, earthy mid palate lifting acidity, clean drying finish. Great structure. Finish is nice and long, but on the thinner side.

  There was only slight evolution compared with the lovely bottle of about 4 years ago; perhaps a little more balsamic notes and first hints of development of English fruit cake touches, which I found in abundance in the 95. Very good.
