Dark dark inky red in color. Nose of boozy maraschino cherry, cocoa, and dust. Light port smell. Really good as it’s not as syrupy or boozy as a traditional port.

Shocked at the lack of sweetness here (in a good way). Very minimal heat detected. Blueberry and blackberry pie, rum raisin, fresh squeezed blackberries. The finish is quite silky. Curious as to how this ages...I’ll let my other sit a while.

Grant uses the Solari system on this wine which is always only made up of three vintages. This one is from 2011, 2012 and 2013. Insane that this only has 1% residual sugar, seems like a lot more. Not in a bad way at all. Dark ruby red with a purolish hue. Delicious soft port styled nose with dark dried berries. Smooth and silky, yes the alcohol is well integrated and balanced. Full bodied and long finish. Definitely need to look into purchasing some more for the blog. Drink till 2023. (94+)

A good port, but too fruity at this point. Suggest giving it some bottle age time to calm the fruit and let the port characteristics come through.
