i rated it a 90 when i opened it--distinctive, full bodied, luscious and balanced, earth and oak notes along with nice acidity and firm tannins and subtle fruit. However, the second day (with vacuum sealed botttle) it was awful--rustic, harsh, difficult to drink--so if you can drink it all at once, great, but if not, don't open it.

2011 Villa Antinori Toscana | Ruby red, smooth pour | Nose of cherries, chocolate, tobacco, and spice | Very smooth on the palate, but not without good body | Excellent use of $20ish on a Thursday night.

Tannic and sufficiently acidic, but with rough edges. Great with flavorful pizza, not alone.
