A producer and wine I have liked a lot, but I was disappointed in this. Somewhat simple with little of the flavor depth and profile that I associate with this wine. No obvious flaw but maybe bottle variation?

My Grade: VG+. Young and racy at this point. Color: dusky, almost bricked with a watery rim. Nose: high-toned sweet cherry, vanilla, some saussisonne, funk and earth notes. Palate: bright, semi-ripe cherry, cola, earthy mid-palate but lacks minerality, racy acidity, long sour finish with orange-peel. Very drinkable now, should be even better in 3-4 years.
