  Decanted at 4:30PM and tasted from 6-9pm after running through a Venturi twice. Medium to dark, translucent garnet color. Pretty big, powerful modern Barolo. Nose shows smoke, tar, roses, dark berries, vanilla, tobacco, earth and chocolate. Fairly complex with much of it oak induced, though still tasty.palate has still quite grippy tannins until enough air has been had. Long finish with some licorice and menthol. It went really well with braised beef short ribs and homemade pumpkin tagliatelle.

  Das ist meine Beichte. Bis heute kam ich dreimal in den Genuss, diesen Wein zu trinken. Ich tat ihm Unrecht. Und dafür lege ich aufrichtig Beichte ab: erst die vierte Flasche hat es mir angetan. Und wie... ich revidiere meine bisherigen Einschätzungen. Von wegen Amarone-Essenz! Die ausgewogene Stringenz der fein eingebunden Tannine ist meisterhaft. Die Komplexität und Struktur sind kaum in Worte zu fassen. Ich versuche es trotzdem: dunkle Beeren, reifes Steinobst und Zedernholz verbinden sich in perfekter Harmonie mit erdigen, nussigen Tönen und dunkler Schokolade. Der Abgang dieses 2007er sucht seinesgleichen. 1,2,3... und 45 Sekunden später fühlt man sich dem Paradies nahe. Ich sage nur: Rest In Peace!

  Ein Soprano. Etwas vom Besten was das Piemont zu bieten hat. Vorab gilt es festzuhalten: zu jung. Aber... trotzdem grossartig. In der Nase florale Düfte, Sellerie noch etwas viel Alkohol.
  Im Gaumen wuchtig, fruchtig. Rhabarber, Waldfrüchte. Im Abgang süsse Noten und eine faszinierende Länge.
  Dazu Zürcher Spargel à la Milanese und eine wunderbar Bratwurst mit Chili/Orange Parfum.
  Besser geht nicht!
