Valiant effort in a difficult vintage. Very smooth from the start. Very slight brown tinge when decanted. Opened nicely - cherry on the nose, with a classic Bordeaux flavor profile. Most enjoyable.

PnP at a restaurant. Should have decanted. My last bottle. It was tight, but opened up a bit over the course of the meal. Restrained style, so never going to be in your face.

PnP. Ready to go. Nice bordeaux blend. DW is a devout cabernet drinker, and she really liked this one. Too bad the prices have gone up so dramatically.

A- medium ruby rim with deep ruby core with low viscosity. N- nuanced nose with hints of earth, underbrush, and dried herb. Some sweet cherry initially that faded as the wine breathed. P- extremely balanced initially and very soft, velvety mouthfeel. Fruit is extremely understated, but also not earth/mineral dominated. Subdued. Finishes with underripe watermelon. Tannins are balanced and fine but firm at the end. F- finish is fairly long, with notes of tabacco, earth, and violet.

So smooth. Very balanced. Few tannins. Opened nicely quickly. Used a aerator to open and just about good from the first sip
