  Restaurant purchase at Taverna in Austin. Decanted before and during dinner. Surprisingly approachable. Medium bodied. Enjoyed the 2001 four years ago and it did not disappoint, and neither did this! Spicy red berries, cherries and that earthiness that seems to come with a top tier Brunello. Elegant and classy. Wonderful with veal Marsala.

  Very delight and colorful nose. Lots of different flavours ranging from sweet berries, mature herbs and white pepper.
