Retail $15. 100% Jacquère. I bought this wine back in 2015 before the thought of Houston had ever entered our collective brain. I bought it to mix with Crème de Cassis to make a beloved Kir. Since we have strayed a bit from our Kir obsession, this wine has languished in the cellar for some time. In the hopes of clearing out some room for my more recent obsessions. On its own? Seven years out? One could do a heckuva lot worse: tart, racy, hints of fruit. Not a mind-blower, but this would be absolute gangbusters with a shot of crème de cassis. thedrunkencyclist.com

I bought these a while ago as fodder for my then unquenchable desire for Kirs. Traditionally, Kirs were made with the rather insipidly acidic Burgundies made with Aligoté. Once the wines made from that rather rare variety became "chic" though, the prices of said wine became largely inappreciable. Well, one day, while out in search of some Aligoté, I found these. Score. Nice acidity, still fairly present fruit, and a tart finish. More than worth the $9 spent. thedrunkencyclist.com

Very light yellow color; on the nose lime and lemon - very light on its feet. On the palate at first not much, then, as the wine warmed up it became more intense with lots of citrus flavors. Good, and ripe, acidity. this wine is lightweight and low in alcohol, it is a good summer drink and it does not matter if you have a sip more..

Nice wine, bright, light and fresh and the added bottle age has given it a bit more depth.
went well with the seafood risotto...

Great acid, remarkably ripe fruit, and slathered in minerality. Wow.
