Loire valley (and a little Champagne); 9/14/2023-9/22/2023: From open 75cl at DV cellar door. This bottle a mix of 2017, 18 and 19 from 3 different sites in Cuis and Épernay. No oak, 3g dosage, bottled 2020 and degorged January 2023. Tiny bubbles, but quite a lot of pressure; very austere and closed on the nose; ultra-bone dry entry; austere, „chalky“ white fruit and a hint of apple on the mid–palate (although apparently this went through malo). Tough to like now, but surely much better after a couple of years sideways. 87P+(?)

Great from split. Easy to drink with bright and brisk green apples, yello citrus, chalk and florals on the nose and palate. Lovely starter champagne.
