  Bottle filled into the neck, cork intact. Medium garnet colour. Red fruit, violet, herbal and vegetal notes, dill, cedar, leather, tobacco, spices, cinnamon, and clove, with good acidity, and average to good length. The tannin seems fully resolved yet the texture remains lightly sandpapery. The wine benefited from moderate aeration, and opened up and fleshed out after a few minutes in a small decanter. A classic, medium-bodied Bordeaux with average concentration but good complexity. Mostly consistent if a little tired on day two. Has aged well. Drink now.
