Light ruby color with some amber at the rim. Beautifull aromas of cherry, licorice, tar, wet earth and a hint of violets. Full bodied with silky smooth tannins bakanced fresh acidity and some sweetness of fruit. A long finish that remains fresh throughout. Very elegant and gracefully aged. Drink now.

Nice, somewhat developed fruit towards plum and ripe cherries and some secondary aromas of porcini and dry leaves. Not the most concentrated wine, and perhaps lacking a little freshness to go with some very fatty lamb ribs. Tannins were very nicely evolved. Might have shown better with a slightly less demanding cut of meat.

A 10-year-old Roero nebbiolo. Some bricking, but drinking well. Medium-light-bodied palette of dark cherries, lean black fruit, and spice. Nice acidity, grippy tannins, and a noticeable touch of oak. Shines with food.

Medium body with a black cherry palate, nice balance, no edges, and a long, dry finish. Dried roses and tar on the nose. A simple, enjoyable Roero, at its best with food.
