  Happily surprised by the deept and good balance of the wine. Probably at its peak.

  Drank alongside the 2010, 2011, 2012 Herold Brown and White Labels, 2013 Herold Stagecoach, and 2012 Maze standard Cabernet.
  
  Decent dark berry notes, with a smooth and inviting textural mouthfeel. Some subtle asphalt and mineral/granite notes as well. Did not have the vibrancy of the standard 2012 Maze Cabernet, which out-scored the Clew by an extra point.
  
  A balanced and friendly drinker, but a bit one note at this stage. Maybe time in bottle will wake it up a bit? Hold until late 2016 to allow for some bottle integration.
