  • Really enjoyed this Bordeaux. I think many of the previous comments might be folks that tasted the Clinet a little early. This was my second bottle this year and both were what I was expecting - red/dark fruits, some dust, dry, and nicely integrated. The finish could be better though. Happy to have a few more in the cellar. I don't think I would push the drink window past 2025 - enjoy!

  • Altering with other reviews in terms of uniqueness. Granted my first experience with a Clinet, very heavy on the herd, dusty earth and dry saddle in terms of palate. Hints of blueberry and cherry fruit peaking through over time. Agreed quite rustic. Not what I was expecting from a Merlot based wine.

  • I was surprised at how much I didn't like this wine. It was reserved, hot, and one-dimensional right off the bat, and it never developed. No fruit was ever discernible from the ropes of alcohol surrounding the nose and the palate, and I was not ever treated to notions of soil or mineral. Even after a day, it gave me nothing. It was a disappointingly flat and obtuse wine that I disposed of after 1 glass.

  • Among the best 2011 vintage Bordeaux wines I have tasted. It smells and tastes as it should, red fruits, clay, herbs, and dust. Very well made, clean yet rustic. Enjoyable now but there is no need to rush. Might be worth seeking out the Clinet.

  • I liked it, I liked it a lot, I was expecting to be rather subdued due to the young age, but I have to say it is already drinking very well. Intense blackcurrent with a bit of structure coming from the oak. As a second wine from a difficult year, I think this is a drinking plesantly now.
