  • From an amazing looking bottle with a .1 cm fill, this wine had a light gold center with clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose emanated pear tart, green apple, minerals, and a hint of bay leaf. After a few hours, an orange flavor evolved into the mix.

In the mouth, this wine felt rich but yet again lightly floated over the palate. It was not heavy or particularly sweet and had crisp acidity that was gorgeously integrated into the wine. The finish was endless.

This was a unique and subtle wine that is probably not to everyone's taste. I loved its complex fruit, refined nature, and gorgeous finish.

  • #09-81, 10% abv. Ex-cellar Bonelli. You don't see Praedikats like this anymore! Moderate golden colour. Intensely spicy and herbal nose, with aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, guava, and things much more exotic than that. The palate features the same assortment of fruit and spice. This shows extremely potent acidity, with just a smidgen of perceptible sweetness that gives the palate a rounder texture. To be honest, I've no clue as to the sugar level of this one -- the acidity is what dominates here. This finishes with some green herbal notes (think lemongrass) as well as a slight touch of almond. Very long.
