Anca and I enjoyed this wine with Katherine with a meal of fish, potatoes, and green vegetables.
This wine was a dark red-brown color with long legs. Somewhat dry with medium tannins and full in body. Medium oak flavor and low, but detectable acidity - a very well balanced wine.
This relatively highly complex wine boasted earthy flavors of walnut, thyme, mushroom, with buttery lingering finish. We noticed the wine became sweeter as it sat. We will be on the lookout for other bottles of this vintage and would certainly recommend it, although would pair it with Italian fare next time.

A big surprise- greatly exceeded expectations. Tons of fruit still, cherry. Long finish.
