Salty sea-like nose. Notes of beef jerky, muted fruit and oddly, celery. Probably past its prime, a bit disjointed but unique and interesting to say the least.

Deep dark garnet in color, notes of dark berries, currant, and herbs on the nose, sweet and jammy on the palate. However, I agree with another reviewer that the wine needs more tannic grip. And although feeling somewhat dense, it goes through your palate almost unnoticed and that's what drops the score. At the price point, there are better choices in Argentina such as Catena or Terrazas de Los Andes.

Lighter bodied then I expected. Not really much in the way of tannins. Quite a bit of fruit bopping around, with some of that Argentinian funk. Over all, it's a decent bottle of wine, there are just a lot of other Argentinian wines in the same price point that are better in either direction, ie, with more structure, more fruit, or both.

At slightly more than the Trapiche Oak Cask, this wine is a world of difference.
