Nearly 9 years after the prior: This has developed beautifully. Pale ruby at the rim. Essence of forest floor and savory mushrooms. Suggestions of white ground pepper. Texture is somewhat creamy, backed up by lovely acidity. Perfectly in balance. Extremely enjoyable over three nights, gas in between. We are happy to have another, and hope to wait a couple years before opening — but it’s so good now we may not resist.

Oregon 2012 at the office: Delicate pinot nose. Some licorice and some initial earthy notes. Deep elegant clear fruit with a fine acidic spine. A great first vintage from Florence Heresztyn-Mazzini indeed. Will improve even though it really is nice now.

This has evolved nicely. Bright soft fruit and beginning deeper earthy aromas. Elegant with fine balance. Very nice now but can certainly keep and will improve from here.

Pale ruby. Light and rather ethereal at first. Lovely balance. Over three nights, refrigerated and gassed in between, it opened substantially, ultimately developing rather deep and earthy notes, and almost richness -- wow, what a significant transformation.

Great wine. I have been disappointed in their generic GC, but I guess the answer is to upgrade :-)
