Bright garnet in color, this delivers a textbook sangiovese fruit profile, with aromas of sweet and sour cherries, raspberry, strawberry, and just a hint of something darker, like mulberry. It’s also quite floral, with notes of fresh and dried roses, and there is some herbal/tobacco character in there as well. On the palate, this is wonderful—great texture that combines silky, refined fruit with a firm backbone of tannin, lots of flavor intensity, and all of the characteristics from the nose. The finish is powerfully dry, leaving behind lots of tannin, tobacco, and sour cherry. Excellent Chianti and a great value.

Shared a bottle at a restaurant, the nose pours cherry, pomegranate and a slight funk out of the glass, the palate continues the cherry experience and adds a little earthiness in for good measure. Low tannins and mid range with its acidity, the body of this wine is on the fuller side and the finish is reasonably long.

Musky nose of damp wood, old-fashioned perfume, and raspberries. Soft and clean. Instantly likeable. Core of rich cherry, dessert-like. Drink now.

Great burst of fruit with crunchy acidity and a gentle earthiness. Excellent with pasta and tomato sauce

Structured and dusty. Smells earthy. Medicinal. Touches of bad aid.
