  • This one sure has evolved in the 24 hours since I opened it. Pouring into the decanter, the initial aroma was just like printers ink, not the solvent, or the cleaning fluid, but the ink itself. To me this is a pleasant aroma. It is only a 2013, so it was pretty tight, even after a decant. It very much has the typical Chilean taste of walnut shells, coffee bean, wet tree bark, and cloves. The mostly red fruit has tried every trick in trying to assert itself, but is at least equally accompanied, if not dominated by a plethora of non fruit flavors. Every sip seem a little different. Deep tannins. Moderately fruity. Vanilla, charcoal and cocoa bean flavors on the roof of the mouth. Even a hint of eucalyptus on the finish.
