  This is the second batch of this release (large “Origins” sticker on the label) and there is so much sulfur present that it takes away from the malt and the finish. It was still enjoyable at times but I just couldn’t get past the sulfur. Apparently batch 1 was better.

  6cl sample. Nice dark colour, the darkest colour in today’s lineup. The whisky offered baked apple, dark cherry, chocolate, hazelnut, malt and sherry on the nose, and cherry, chocolate, hazelnut, spices, sherry and smoke on the palate, with very warming alcohol and very good length. Maybe the most interesting whisky in today’s lineup, even if the Highland Park 18 Years Old drank better. Body 4/10, Smoke 3/10, Sweetness 3/10. 88+

  Un délice classique que vous voudrez retrouver à tout prix. Ce succulent scotch aux notes subtiles d'agrume et d'épice vous transporte directement au coeur de l'Écosse, dans ses plaines verdoyantes. Tout est dans l'équilibre ici! C'est si bon que je me dois d'aller m'en servir un autre verre. Santé!
