Beast of a wine that has smoothed out into its last hoorah of flavor. Surprised anything from Paso can go longer than 10 years. But, enjoying it's last legs before ot goes downhill. Very enjoyable.

Similar to the 2011. Dark, brooding color. Blue, black and some red notes, with Syrah and Grenache taking turns in the aromatics and palate profile. Big, juicy and round. Nothing subtle about it. A little too much heat throughout. Better with something big and brawny - like BBQ.
