  • What a delight! And a surprise! I had less than high expectations because I thought this would be tired and past its prime. That has been the case for so many of the 1994 Napa cabs in the last 2 years out of me cellar. But this had almost no brown on the edge. Subtle dark red fruit on the nose. Excellent medium-thick mouthfeel. Full and substantial through the mid-palate. And a delightful, slightly tart, long lasting finish. Perfect balance. Wish I had more but this was my last bottle. fyi- this was the White Cottage Ranch Vineyard.

  • Opened not decanted. Had that Howell Mountain spice on the nose upon opening; now smells like sun dried tomatos!Maybe it's because my wife is making pizza sauce for dinner tonight? Mahogony red color; fading fruit which makes it a little watery, but the tanins are smooth and it's a pleasant drinker.
