  • Paired well with fine cheeses (3 year old Dutch Gouda, Italian Ubriaco al Prosecco and Italian organic raw milk Parmesan Reggiano). Only my second experience of Alsace Gewürztraminer. Half bottle cost $11 at Whole Foods. Mis en boutelle par Kuentz-Bas, Husseren-Les-Chateaux (Haut-Rhin). Abv 13%. Nice light-golden colour. Typical Gewürztraminer aromatic nose. It becomes more noticeable as the wine warms. Rather strong flavour. Melon and green apple are prominent, and a bit of citrus. Some lingering in the aftertase (pleasant). Off-dry. I would buy this again (though I think they may have mistook it for a full bottle when pricing it). Low very good.

  • A slighty spicy, but nose smelled like house dust. Light body showing acid and citrus flavors. Acid overwhelming on the finish. (Indian Food/Gewurz blowout at Ajanta).
