  A good example of Lodi Native. Decanted 90 mins. ahead. Very deep opaque garnet color. Nice nose of blueberries, blackberries, and earthy but not woody tones. Surprisingly bright on the palate, as fruit leads a lifted, medium-bodied texture. Acid balance is not tart but quite juicy. Finishes quickly with light grip and low tannins. You can see the promise of Lodi Natives in this wine, as clear fruit and earthy flavors take you to a place where few Lodi zins have traditionally gone. And it's for sure a trip worth making.
