  Opened 4 hours before. Not what I expected.
  Deep dark yellow
  Not much fruit, slightly oxidised, rich full, saline, mineral, savoury. Went very well wth food

  A delightful Chardonnay that defied triple odds against it - a cheap $10 Chardonnay from Italy that is 6 years old. I gladly bought it because I have liked every wine I have tried from this winery. Translucent yellow color with no brown oxidized tinge. Impressively aromatic, with flowers and fresh butterscotch. Enters the mouth with bright citrus acidity and a caressing texture. Finished juicy, long, and languid. Delicious with an armada of lunch delights. As close as I have ever seen for an Italian Chardonnay to get to white Burgundy.
