  • Like almost all Riesling's produced in Michigan, the overall characteristics of this wine are an elegant delicacy, and precise crispness. A little lighter in viscosity than Rieslings from most other areas. The color is rather clear. There is an earthy, slate, taste component. There is some structured guava and grapefruit behind the initial apple and pear fruit. By the finish there is some peppery spiciness with the acid and fruit.

  • This is a dry Riesling, and is not unlike other dry Rieslings from Michigan. Riesling is a popular wine in Michigan. Pretty much all wineries make it, so there's a lot of competition. For this wine, the flavour is better than the nose, which is light. Apple on the palate. Some acidity. Overall impression: Good.
