Picked this up at K&L just because it was a 2010 bdx for $10 and being touted as a steal. Wow. 2nd best bargain wine I've ever had to the 2012 Les Vignerons de Tautavel Vingrau Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel Silex Tautavel. Though she was a bit thin in the middle, she was a true expression of bdx, from the sediment at decant to the nose of potting soil, blackberry compote, thyme, lavender, tobacco, and sauteed mushrooms on top of all the aforementioned shit. QPR of the past few years for me. Palate is where this dips to the 10-dollar range, but oh my God, that nose...Fresh...Old...World....Heading back to K&L today for a case (or 2?).

Great for $11. Merlot comes through with dark fruits. Little flat but smooth and well rounded. Better than most $15-$18 supermarket bottles. Don’t really see this getting better with age, drink now.

Improves with air. Good to let it breathe for a couple of hours.

9 years’ sleep and wholly inoffensive. Could have drunk 1-2 years earlier and gotten more liveliness, but otherwise a smooth operator for the dollar.
