Excellent. Immediately so complex it was too much. Mellowed out quickly with air and became very enjoyable, structured, but a joy to drink. Feels restrained and like this could go for a very very long time to release what it has to offer.

This was drunk over two days. On the first day, the oak was much more noticeable than the Champs-Gain from the same vintage. This showed white flowers on the nose; yellow apple, pear, and mineral notes on the palate, with a medium finish and strong acidity. On the second day the oak had integrated; the score reflects day two. This is drinkable now if you enjoy some oak, or wait three to five years for this to come together. This was a good to very good value at around $50.

Very nice, though not quite on the level of that incredible '14 Bachelet-Monnot I had from the same site. It's still very enjoyable though with lots of ripe white fruit accented by touches of hazelnut and smoke, though perhaps lacking a bit of complexity beyond that. (I'll be curious to see how the '14 Carillon compares soon.) The acidity's definitely very bright and keeps it light on its feet, though I keep wishing for a bit more depth or complexity here.

Friday Afternoon at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage): A delicious young white burg. Nose is full and showy with forward, ripe orchard fruits and white flowers. Palate has ripe/rich fruit and medium acid that comes together in a poised, balanced fashion.

A resounding show. Lovely citrus core and mineral backbone. Very aromatic with good acidity. A very good value PM in a lesser vintage.
