Wine was spectacular - I pristine example of Genevrieres at its best. Perfect balance of mineral, primary white orchard fruit and secondary yellow fruits. Gobs of restrained power and thrust. Wine barely moved over the course of 4 hours, and only a hint of additional oxididation on day 2. Incredibly great bottle.

Not oxidized but not great. Pineapple and oak characters with some elegance on the end. Could be mistaken for an old Leeuwin if not for some minerality. Better with food.

I will have to disagree with the critics on this wine. There is too much oak and too little Meursault character. Plenty of material, but it is too awkward with oak, swimming pool and petrol aspects. When I first tasted it, I thought it was an oddly confected California chardonnay. Others liked this, so it will likely have its following, but lovers of the more classic Meursault beware.

This is maturing nicely (no sign of pre-ox in this bottle) and is drinking beautifully now. Great acidity and minerality. Classic Meursault profile. Long, complex finish.

Oak a bit too dominant for my taste. Holds together nicely, though. Quite broad shouldered.
