See-through, dirty-looking magenta. Earthy, herbal nose. Light to medium bodied, lots of spices, rustic cranberries, toasted nuts, and a dry, tangy, medium length finish. Drink up, the fruit is fading fast.

Wow, this bottle really shocked me as being from Willamette Valley. I was expecting nice light cherry cola Pinot. The initial taste had a green pepper undertone with some acidity. It hardy improved over a three day period and green taste was always there. The wine never seemed to come around and I almost poured it out, but I was still holding out hope. I have four more bottles so I'm hoping this first one was an odd bottle.

Initially at cellar temp it's a little closed and astringent. Warming up a touch, we have strawberry jam and some stem-like astringency with herbs and underbrush. Big acid to go along with the fresh fruit. Didn't change much over a couple hours open, aside from smoothing out somewhat.

Last bottle of this - pretty good but no reason to keep holding these.
