I really expected more. This is from the old vines in the Canyon, but for only 7 years old, I felt it needed more zip. I will definitely not let my 2016 bottle go as long.

Not decanted, consumed over two consecutive evenings. Red cherry/raspberry fruit, tart apple acidity, a little tannin, only wisps of spice. Well-proportioned and not overripe, but not showing much nuance or detail at this stage.

A solid (if overpriced) Zinfandel.

A fruit forward Zinfandel with a lingering smooth finish. Typical zin bite is absent. Very food friendly.
