A surprisingly excellent wine blending 50% Merlot, 25% Petite Sirah, and 25% Zinfandel, especially after tasting excellent Bordeaux blends from Napa and Tuscany. Opaque with an inch pour, and upfront delicious, rich, smooth, and intense. I feared that the Zin part of the blend would make this wine too sweet, low in acidity, and lacking tannin, but none of that happened. At 7 years old, fully ready to drink and enjoy.

Nose: leather, tobacco, dark cherry
Palate: medium tanin, nice acid, tart cherry/pomegranate finish; slightly herbacious, earthy as well
