Musty at first but a few hours in a decanter brings out a gritty scent dripping with tar. It's much lighter-complexioned to taste than the aroma prepares you for, though, relatively lightly red-fruited and about as elegantly structured as nebbiolo gets -- this is probably Cannubi talking -- with wispy, lacey tannin.

Medium rtuby red with some browing around the rim. Great nose of cinammon and ginger peal with just a little bit of hot tar. Still a baby with heaps of acid and tannin and a very long finish.
