Blackberry, cedar and zesty citrus aromas. Full- throttle ripe fruit but there’s enough acidity to keep everything in balance. Tannins are soft and pliable. There’s skittles and cocoa nibs on the finish. Very good QPR.

Punches well above its weight. Blackberry and boysenberry with a zesty bite on the nose. Ripe cherry and raspberry in the mouth and the three P’s are fully present: penetrating, persistent and pleasurable. Big in-your-face fruit yet harmonious and immensely drinkable. What more can you ask for?

I don't know how Costco does it but they have pulled off a feat that's nothing short of alchemy. How can they make a $10 bottle of wine not only drinkable but appealing on so many levels? Powerful and intense nose of black cherries and Indonesian sweet clove cigarettes accented by ripe raisins. On the palate cherry cola and dark fruits with medium high acidity. The tannins have long melted; the fruit is now front and center. The finish is long enough to impress John Holmes. Not a paragon of finesse or complexity but supremely quaffable.

Clear dark ruby with a pale rim. Appealing flavors of ripe cherries, wood smoke and black tea. A light touch of tannins and medium-high acidity provides counterweight to the ripe fruit. However, excessive oak and alcoholic heat dominate the palate, throwing it out of kilter. Small quibble for $10 a bottle. A high ABV (15.3%) likely helps to draw out its lengthy finish.

Wow, for $10 you can't beat this, especially if you're a fan of 15+% fruity goodness. My girl likes this one - a lot.
