Purchased direct from the winery during their library release event this past year. Wasn’t expecting too much given its age but I was pleasantly surprised at the suppleness of the fruit. Low tannin and low acid and a bit of funk upon opening but after about half an hour the beautiful and delicate fruit started shining through. I got blackberry and black cherry with just a touch of meatiness and perhaps a hint of grilled herbs. Coming from a great Napa vintage. Drink up but it’s certainly not a bad wine at all!

I saw that this was supposedly past it's prime, so opened it with a hope against hope. I was pleasantly surprised. Easy drinking, smooth tannins and some noticeable jammy fruit made it a perfect match for a hearty soup on a cold rainy night.

slightly acidic, muted mix of average flavors point out its a syrah, but glad I don't have another on of these, drink up now, its all down hill from here

Sweet black cherry and vanilla (oak) aromas turn tart and alcoholic on the palate. A skosh of dust on the short finish. Drinkable, but might be past its prime.
