Incredibly youthful with lots of good dark berry fruits. Superb palate, well balanced, just the right amount of sweetness. Full and very long. Wonderful!

Absurdly dark and youthful after 41+ years. Even tannic. I know these were late release from the estate but how can this be and so much more youthful than the supposedly much bigger 1977s? Very impressive but so one dimensional with impenetrable fruit. if all Port aged this slowly we would be just starting on the 1931 vintage!

6-7 h decant. Extremely dark for a 39 year old wine, no purple left but could pass for 20 years younger. clipped nose of plums and some cocoa. taste is very concentrated of dark cherries and cocoa. med+ finish. solid 92 points

CV during a couple of months. Dark deep ruby, red tinged, 6. Generous sweet bouquet of dried fruits, spices, strong alcohol. Intense and harmonious palate, still youngish tannins, refreshing bitterness, again dried fruit in the finish. Wait at least five years and will keep the level for decades. Really surprisingly youngish appearance for a 39 years old vintage Port.
