Community Tasting Notes (4) Avg Score: 86.4 points

  • Dark ruby in color, this wine shows subtle dark red fruit of wild cherry, pomegranate as well as cinnamon and rose petals. The mouth feel is lighter bodied than expected with soft tannins and more red fruit and subtle hints of anise. The finish is short and abrupt but still manages to bring out the acidity and red fruits. 13.6% abv.

Purchased for $25US, this is an easy drinking offering but lacks complexity for its price point. I'd like it a lot more for $15 or less.

  • Relatively light-bodied, this medium ruby wine packs a fair amount of red fruit, rose petal and spice aromas. Low-to-medium in acidity and with soft tannins, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose. Listed as 13.6%, the alcohol is fairly well-integrated. Although the middle palate stays fairly solid, the finish is clipped and carries a leafy element. This Pinot is good for its price point, but does not offer the complexity and depth of more esteemed bottlings. Drink now-2019.

  • Definitely new world but not overly extracted. Flavors of strawberry and cola with enough acidity to make it food friendly. Perfect mid-week bottle to pair with lighter fare.

  • Nose a little muted, cherry notes, light flowers. Palate kinda extracted, molasses, vanilla extract, syrupy strawberry juice. Not a balanced style, if you told me there was residual sugar I would believe you. Medium acidity covered up, medium plus finish of maple syrup, this could be delicious for some but I wouldn't recommend supporting this style.
