Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Intense nose of stone fruit, pineapple, citrus. Smells good, don't know that I would pick it out as Riesling blind. The flavors of the nose show on the palate as well, stone fruit, ripe peach, ending with a satsuma-style sweet citrus edge. There is some detectable RS but it is very light. The acid is in a really nice place, it's strong but decently in balance and helps extend the finish and doesn't end tart or bitter as some can. Overall a really nice Riesling, this is the third 2013 Riesling I've had from the Umpqua Valley that were made in this style and were really nice wines, this is definitely making me more interested in Riesling from this region.
