serious red and dark fruit mix, baking spice, cola. as far as pinots go its a big dark brooding beast at this age, the finish is flush with unresolved oak and syrupy glycerin. It will be interesting to see if some bottle age can get everything in place, right now it is sooo overstuffed with everything that I wonder what time will do to this, and the past vintage. Should it be looked at as a hedonistic baby to be enjoyed today or will time resolve all that chunky fat. we shall see?

red cherry, vanilla, cola, with just a hint of spice. paired gloriously with lamb roast. value priced and easy to enjoy. would be an affordable crowd pleaser for a large party!

This is what can happen in Monterrey with a great growing year. This Pinot starts off with a very dark, deeply extracted, concentrated color. The grapes achieved perfect ripeness, and with minimal intervention wine making a quick hitting, deep rich, juicy red and dark fruit impression on the palate. Minimal use of oak brings a Pinot experience. Still some youthful tannins. Nicely balanced and integrated. A bit of a sappy influence to the red fruit on the finish.

This is clearly one of the very best deals in the wine world. The 13 needs a bit more time to open up than did the 12 but still there is a nose of ripe cherries that continues into the front palate. The mid palate shows rich red fruit with a bit of astringency that is somewhat off putting. Finish is rich and supple. Again amazing value for an 11-12$ wine.

Excellent, and this coming from a Cabernet / Zinfandel drinker. Darker Pinot than most and not as earthy. Easy to drink.
