A private dinner (Restaurant De Scheepskameel, Amsterdam, NL): This is such a powerhouse, boasting no less than 52% ABV. Deep and rich and hot, incredibly concentrated, no finesse whatsoever (excuse my French), but with incredible energy and power from the lees, and a touch of wood ageing. This is fire water indeed. Takes no prisoners. Hard to score this. I am erring on the cautious side.

Quite a rich, thick, grapey sort of marc, with a long muscat-like finish.
