For the cricket buffs out there, you might say the winemaker 'bowled in my arc' here. For the $19 AUD i paid, this ticks more boxes than many. The nose is pretty darn oaky. Blokey, casts a shadow over palate expectations... but there are hints of complexity in the form of plums, blackberry and dark chocolate. On the pallet it's long, tannic and absolutely full of potential. Still oak laced but the oomph here will prompt me to lie a few down and see what happens. Will buy plenty more if it's still at this price next time I'm at the bottle shop.

Good for the age but largely a commercial-styled wine. Ripe, simple red berry fruits, light mineral edges. Would live for a while it would seem.
