Trying so hard to succeed in a classy cool climate way and given the price of this wine ($15) I'm happy to give it the benefit of minor doubt. Light and tangy with some caramel oak, cashew aromas and talcum powder acid. The fruit is delicate so one does need to look for it, but ultimately lacks the stuffing to promise much beyond this year. I think the 1889 label replaces the 'Victorian' series (?) and this is a good thing given all fruit comes from King Valley.
