Popped cork and intriguing waft of black olives came from bottle. Splash decant into glass, swirl... nose of alcohol/acetone and dark fruit, a little smoke. On the palate it's immediately recognizable as my old friend Colossus - cough syrup, cherry candy, a hint of campfire, some flowers and herbs. Long hot finish. This might be a tiny bit sweeter than the 2012, and a little more disjointed - although it was only recently bottled and just arrived off a 35-degree truck, so let's give it some time before we pass judgement, shall we? Great stuff, as usual with Mr. Brown.
