Enjoyed this wonderful California Cab with lamb kabobs last night. Soft well integrated tannins, dark berries, long finish. My last bottle. Wish I had a couple more.

Dark fruits and glycerin predominate the finish, which is lengthy but somewhat disappointing in complexity. This probably won't improve too much from here and does not represent the value I thought it would at purchase.

Opened two bottles last night to serve to friends along with a top sirloin. Aired, but did not decant, for about 45 minutes because of concern based upon community consensus on the drinking window. Not to worry. Cabernet purple to the edge and slightly closed on initial pour. Over three hours opened perfectly with great berry fruit, integrated tannins and considerable length. This is written 24 hours later as I finish the second bottle and compare it in my memory to a 1989 Cheval Blanc enjoyed 5 nights ago. This has more fruit--perhaps not as much complexity, but at one-eighth or one-tenth the price, its why I buy and regularly drink California Cabs and why the Cheval Blanc is reserved to occasions where someone pours it for me. Two bottles left and I will save them until next year.

15% ABV. Deeply colored. Somewhat reticent nose. Sweet red currant. Rather soft. Red berry fruit and a touch of mint. This is okay. Intended for early consumption I think.
