  This opaque crimson wine was purchased at a well-known but out-of-town wine shop. Not being familiar with the winery, it was a bit of a "crap shoot," but this full-bodied offering left nothing on the table. Ripe black currants, blackberries, dark chocolate, lavender and allspice adorn both the nose and palate. The oak and alcohol (listed as 14.5%) are nicely integrated and the tannins, while substantial, are silky smooth. Round, ripe, gorgeous and nothing short of a poster child for Napa Cab, this wine is for those who search for hedonism in a 750 cc bottle. Drink now-2030.
