  • Musserende rød vin med pussig duft av bær, gjær og gammel middag. Hippievin, ikke helt min greie

  • A blend of Barbera (40%), Lambrusco (40%), Malvasia (10%) and Trebbiano (10%). 12,5% alcohol.

Deep, almost fully opaque raspberry juice appearance with a short-lived, frothy pink head. This looks more like Framboise Lambic than wine. The nose is juicy, wild and a bit stinky with aromas of black cherries and sour cherries, some earthy spices, a little bit of fresh brambly raspberries, a hint of bretty leather and barnyard character and a sappy touch of raspberry leaf tea. The wine is light-to-medium-bodied, crisp and juicy on the palate with very prickly frizzante mouthfeel and bright flavors of ripe red cherries, wild forest fruits, some tart cranberries, a little bit of licorice and a touch of bretty funk. The structure relies more on the very high acidity than on the quite gentle light tannins. The finish is crunchy, tangy and slightly grippy with bright yet slightly funky flavors of tart cranberries, licorice, ripe red cherries, some leather, a little bit of sweet'n'salty liquorice, a hint of sappy herbal character and a touch bretty funk.

A lovely, refreshing and immensely drinkable little fizzy red that is something not unlike a very wild Lambrusco. Delicious and crunchy with a nicely understated funky edge, this is an epitome of glou-glou. Really lovely both on its own and with something straightforward like a rustic pizza. Not really cheap at ~20€, but delivers for the price. Nice!
